i remember in year 7 we baked cakes and one person put wayyy too much baking powder in hers and it ended up properly sinking and it looked like a massive yorkshire pudding. it became apparent when it was in the oven but the best part is that she thought it was her friends cake so she was playfully making fun of her friend for about 20 minutes but when they got it out she realised it was hers

First mix your dry ingredients then mix your wet ingredients, then combine slowly til smooth. I imagine the yogurt is there to help keep the cake moist, ive never put yogurt in my cake but thats my guess. Ive heard of people using applesauce in brownies instead of eggs to keep them really moist.
