Reimagined Junk Kouture final to showcase fashion flair
Over 200 secondary school students will bring their designs to the runway in the final of the tenth Junk Kouture competition tonight - where participants show off their creations made from everyday materials
The 2020 final, which was to have been held in Dublin's 3 Arena last March, was cancelled due to the pandemic.
But the Junk Kouture team was determined to let the 2020 finalists have their moment on the runway.
Filmed in five locations around Ireland in line with Covid-19 protocols, with students assigned time slots for filming and social-distancing measures in place, the grand final will be broadcast on RTÉ 2 at 7pm.
Among the panel of judges are Louis Walsh and judge of RuPaul’s Drag Race Michelle Visage.
